Chank Company, founded by Chank Diesel, launched Chank.com in 1996. This site offers unique vivacious, frisky and swaggering designs, many created by Chank Diesel himself. Some of Chank's fonts are also distributed by The [T-26] Font Company, My Fonts and Monotype Imaging.

Chank has the ability to create fonts from handwriting and to develop unique, exclusive fonts for logos, corporate use or product packaging. Their basic license covers up to five users with two printers or multi-licenses are available upon request.

However, they do not offer advanced search options or font creation or editing tools.

Ease of Use:  

The site is exceedingly easy to navigate though and supports PC and Mac users.

Feature Set:  

Chank offers many distinctive font designs that are available through individual download or as 'fontpaks.' The fonts are available in PostScript, TrueType or OpenType formats.

This company offers some fonts for as low as $10 and hosts a new release section to keep designers abreast of the freshest fonts available. You can also purchase 'Chank's Legacy Collection Fontpak' that includes over 200 fonts for $639.00.

Chank's alphabets include European signs such as grave, accute and circumflex accents with vowels.

Downloading the fonts proved to be quick and easy.

Available Tools:  

Chank offers a few unique services including "Go Font Yourself." This service creates customized fonts from handwriting at a reasonable price. Chank also posts a section titled "How to Make your own Fonts" that gives step-by-step instructions on how to build custom fonts using Adobe Streamline or Macromedia Fontographer.
